Early flight from Perth to Ayres Rock (over 5 hours). Qantas
might not be on strike now and running normally but the food is the same –
terrible, but they try I suppose.
We spend the
afternoon touring The Olgas – very spectacular and impressive.
Then in the evening viewing the rocks at sunset, not as red as I thought
but the booze was good. After this the Sounds of Silence (difficult
for our group especially after free drinks) buffet
barbeque dining then a tour of the southern night sky with a resident
startalker.
Anyone fancy barbecued crocodile and kangaroo?
